Career Prospects
Massage has been used for millennia to help people relax, both physically and mentally. Medical professionals have long recognised massage therapy as a valid and highly effective technique for managing a variety of conditions, including stress, anxiety, sleep problems, stiffness and body pain. It is also used to help increase flexibility, improve breathing and circulation, lower blood pressure and boost mood, among other applications.
Demand for massage therapists is high in many areas of the world, and so being skilled in this profession can put you on a secure career path and give you the opportunity to travel if you wish. Hourly payments rates are typically high in this industry too, so your earning potential may be significant.
There are job opportunities in settings such as spas, fitness centres and massage practices, and you have the option of finding employment or being self-employed.
